Since their inception in 2009, we have been tasked with the design and production of all graphic communications for The Military Awards, including the design of an iconic logo, multiple large format graphics (24 metres long!), giveaways and awards brochure. The challenge has always been to create a brand that conveys a stunning visual impact for all award attendees, showcasing the bravery of military personnel through the best imagery.
Each year we select the best military photography and weave them into the 'Millies' identity, creating a visual narrative of the military operations that have taken place that year, and that inform the awards presented. The design route has always been one of striking visual impact, connecting the primary palettes of the Army, Navy and RAF into a continuous graphic band that suggests combined strength and effectiveness. Each year the identity evolves incrementally - staying true to its origins but ensuring a subtle visual contrast is adopted to allow each awards ceremony to stand alone.
Our expertise has been employed for 6 years on this prestigious project and we're delighted to continue partnering with The Sun team. Each year The Millies gets greater coverage (the ceremony is broadcast on ITV 1) and increased recognition nationwide. We are delighted to play our part each year.
