Description

James Finlay Ltd comprises a number of organisations operating in the global tea, coffee, flower and logistics industries. Part of the Swire Group, they recently completed a rebranding exercise which aims to add vibrancy and consistency to a traditional brand, providing a greater sense of inclusion for Finlays employees, and a clear presentation of unity towards global customers. Other acquisitions have required us to conduct in-depth brand research and strategic reports to further clarify the direction and implementation of the brand.

Enabling the visual identity to work online was imperative to securing the benefits of rebranding. With this in mind, we were commissioned to design and develop the Finlays website. This involved replacing and consolidating numerous sites which varied in message, design and nomenclature, with one effective online resource under the revised global branding. 

Our brief was to provide a strong communication platform explaining Finlays history and ethos, a user friendly gateway into individual business areas and a convenient channel for accessing global contacts. The site also had to allow extension of content via a powerful, bespoke content management system.

We have been commissioned to art direct several photo shoots in the UK and Sri Lanka and manage the subsequent image library. This culminated in developing an online photolibrary resource accessed through the global site.

Following the successful implementation of the Group website, we are working with other Finlays businesses to produce a varied range of printed collateral and online applications, including design work for a new Group-wide sustainability project.
